Advent Calendar Day 5: His Reward
"Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him" (Isa 62:11 KJV).

Behold appears in this verse three times, drawing attention to the Lord's proclamation to the Daughter of Zion, the coming Salvation, and His reward and work. As I read Isaiah 62:11, though, the word reward continually stood out. What reward would the Savior bring? To answer, with His reward He gives peace and comfort.
So, come oh Redeemer come. Draw nigh to Your holy people. We delight in You. The redeemed of the Lord seek You.
